Make a Pinwheel with Your Kids

Pinwheels are fun to watch going round and round. Definitely your Grandma will remember how to do them. It is easy and quick. Decorate your garden, windows, pencils with these lovely colourful pinwheels.

What you need:

  • Colourful Cardboard

  • Scissors

  • Stickers, sequins, glitters, colouring pens, ….

  • Metal brads

  • Straw

  • Hole puncher

Instructions:

  1. Cut the colourful cardboard into an 8-inch square. Fold it in half diagonally then fold it again into a triangle shape. Open it flat.

  2. Cut along the folded line with the scissors leaving 2 inches from the centre.

  3. Use the hole puncher to make holes at the edge of each triangle.

  4. Make a hole at the edge of the straw.

  5. Put the metal brad through the corners of the triangles. Then put it through the centre of the square and insert it into the straw hole.

  6. Fold the edges of the metal brad over the straw and the cardboard to secure it.

  7. Decorate your pinwheel with the glitters and stickers. You can also write some fun stuff on each part of the pinwheel.

Put it in the garden and with a little bit of wind, you can watch your pinwheel spinning round and round.

Have fun!
