Drawing with chalk is one of the kids’ favourite activities! Did you know that you can prepare chalk with your kids at home?
You will need:
Aluminium foil
A disposable plastic container
Plaster of Paris
A toilet tissue tube
Duct tape
Liquid tempera paint
Water
A spoon
Cover one end of the toilet paper tube with duct tape then cover it from the outside and the inside with aluminium foil. Let the aluminium foil fit the toilet paper tube snugly.
In the disposable plastic container mix 1 cup of plaster of Paris with 1/2 cup of water. Stir it until the plaster is dissolved. Afterwards, add 2 tablespoons of paint and mix well.
Put the mixture in the tube that you prepared and let it dry overnight before using.
Have fun with your kids preparing the chalk then drawing with it!
