Fruit Salad with Yogurt

Any kind of fruit salad is popular with a toddler, as long as there is a good mix of crunchy and soft fruit. Watermelon seems to be universally loved for its colour and texture.

What you need (3 toddler portions):

  • 200g fresh berries

  • 200g fresh ripe watermelon

  • 100ml orange juice

  • 2 drops vanilla extract

  • 100ml full-fat natural yoghurt

Place the berries in a bowl.

Peel the watermelon and cut into bite-size pieces, then add to the bowl with the orange juice. Using a large spoon, gently mix the fruit together and leave to marinate for at least 30mn. Meanwhile, mix the vanilla extract and yoghurt together, cover and leave in the refrigerator.

Serve the fruit at room temperature with the yoghurt sauce over the top. If necessary, cut the fruit into smaller pieces or mash lightly before serving.
