To add some colours to the plants you’ll grow with your children, let them decorate the pots themselves. It’s an easy and fun activity that your children will enjoy!
You will need:
An earthenware or plastic pot
Coloured acrylic paint
PVA glue
Paintbrushes
Newspaper
Start by laying down newspaper in your craft area, and wear something to protect your clothing from the paint.
Fill a couple of plastic cups or bowls with water for brush rinsing.
Choose a colour and mix it with a bit of PVA glue before painting the pot all over. The PVA will let the colour last for long. Paint the pot in two coats to make the colour brighter.
After letting the pot dry, paint your design with the colours you like; you can draw anything you want: flowers, butterflies, fruits…
Leave your pot to dry completely, then put your plant in it and watch it grow day after day in this beautiful pot that you have made!
