This is an easy and fun game kids can play on the beach sand! To play this game you will need 2 to 3 medium stones per player. Give each player a different colour of stones (grey, white, black, etc.) this way you avoid confusion. You will also need a big rock that won’t budge when you hit it with the small ones.
The big rock is your target; place it in an open area of sand away from other people on the beach. Scratch a line in the sand 8 to 12 feet away from the target rock. The players should stand behind the line and try to throw their small stones as close to the target as possible. When all the stones are thrown, check which ones came closest. You can play as individuals or teams and score the rounds separately or accumulate points towards a set goal. After several rounds, you can move the line farther from the target.
This fun game will keep the kids occupied at the beach for hours.
